My Story
As a nurse I became increasingly dissatisfied with the lack of answers for my own, and others physical pain, and I went on a search to find the root cause of these chronic pains. I started with yoga, but began to realize that after classes I often felt more tight, stiff, and in pain. I kept being curious and came to learn about the fascia system, and its role in chronic pain, stiffness and that just getting “old” feeling. While learning to work with my fascia I realized I wanted to share what I was learning with my yoga students. I trained in various techniques using balls, and rollers, and the feet to release fascial adhesions and restore flow to the connective tissue. Then I discovered the work of Deanna Hanson, called Block Therapy, and knew I had found the gold standard for creating change in the fascia system. I trained with Deanna, first becoming an instructor, and then a Block therapist and now I'm excited to bring this amazing healing work to others.
